Volnay

Located south of Beaune at the foot of the Chaignot mountain, the village of Volnay sits at an altitude of 270 metres, with just under 300 inhabitants.

With its 29 climats classified as premier cru, the Volnay appellation is made up of vineyards planted with the pinot noir grape variety exclusively, and produces fine, feminine and elegant red wines.

In this municipality, the Voillot estate produces 3 wines classified in the premier cru appellation: Caillerets, Champans and Fremiets and 1 wine classified as Volnay Vieilles Vignes produced by blending wines from 5 terroirs.
