The village of Meursault is located just a few kilometres south of Volnay and has 1,400 inhabitants.

Renowned for its powerful and balanced white wines made from the chardonnay grape, the Meursault appellation comprises 19 climats classified as premier cru.

In this municipality, the Voillot estate produces 1 wine classified as a Meursault premier cru from the Les Cras climat, and 1 wine classified as a Meursault, produced in the Chevalières climat.
